Hi, I'm Christian. I build reliable software.
Studio CC is my independent practice: freelance software development, alongside my role as CTO at Edition.
In 2021 I joined Edition as a frontend intern and stayed. From there the path went through frontend, a backend role that was really full-stack in disguise, full-stack in earnest, and in 2025 I took on the role of CTO.
Most of my work has been in commerce, where the hard problems are usually backend ones: catalogues in sync across many storefronts, inventory that stays accurate, jobs that don't fall over on the busiest day of the year. A lot of it runs on Shopify, which has become a speciality, but the engineering is the same anywhere.
I care about pragmatic solutions: a data model that ages gracefully, an API that's pleasant to call a year later, and code your team can confidently change six months from now. Studio CC is where I take on that kind of work for other businesses.
